This year WhyHunger
is looking forward to our best Hungerthon©
ever. We have more radio stations giving us more airtime with
better auction items than ever before - and for the first time we will be
on Sirius XM
Satellite Radio on dozens of stations. We have a
new partner in Charity
Folks, an online auction house and we have beautiful John Lennon "Imagine There's No Hunger" tees,
sweats and pins, thanks to Yoko
Ono Lennon who also wrote our annual fund-raising letter.
Started in 1975 as a program of WhyHunger,
Hungerthon©
is a series of fundraising concerts and events culminating in a radiothon
that has grown to become a Thanksgiving tradition throughout the NY
tri-state area.

2010 begins on Saturday, November 20th (6:00 a.m. -
10:00 a.m. on WFAN with Richard Neer; 4 p.m. - Midnight on Sirius XM with
"Cousin" Brucie Morrow and 7 p.m. - Midnight on WCBS-FM with
Joe Causi), through Tuesday, November 23rd (5:00 a.m. - 10:00
p.m. on WCBS Newsradio 880, 1010 WINS, WCBS-FM, Sports Radio 66 WFAN and
on Chris Russo's show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio). While on the
air, radio personalities will present celebrity-autographed memorabilia
and meet and greet opportunities, sports packages and more for auction;
plus traditional Hungerthon© / John Lennon "Imagine There's No
Hunger tees, sweats and pins. To bid on these, call 1-800-5-Hungry
on Saturday or Tuesday. And Sirius XM,WRXP, HOT 97, KISS and Q104.3
will be offering items for auction via WhyHunger's partner CharityFolks.com.
We want as many people as possible to know about Hungerthon©
and donate. That's where you come in. Please send this e-mail
to your e-mail and FaceBook lists and anyone else you know and ask them
to pass it along. It is something you can do that will help us
exponentially.
